Cherry Street Productions was established in 2018 by Josh Alarcon and Jordan Macapagal, longtime friends who share a passion for creating distinctive stories through video production. The name “Cherry Street” is a reference to their hometown of San Leandro, California, where every street sign features a pair of cherries. As natives of the San Francisco Bay Area, they are committed to representing their community and sharing their exceptional perspectives and talents with the world

Joshua Alarcon
“For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved movies. It wasn’t until high school however, that I found my passion for filmmaking. What started out as a few kids making silly videos turned into a passionate and rewarding career. After High school I received an Associates in Theater Arts from Chabot Community and went on to San Francisco State University to study cinematography. Over the years I’ve shot dozens of short films, music videos, weddings, and commercials. I love seeing the reactions of people watching the content I’ve shot. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and am always willing to go the extra mile for, ‘THE shot’. I love what I do and always push myself to create the best work possible for my clients. In my spare time, I love traveling with my girlfriend to find new places to eat, practicing the art of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, and keeping up with my favorite sports teams (Warriors, Raiders, and A’s).”

“I am a storyteller at heart. Since I was a young kid, telling stories was the one thing that ever came naturally to me. As I got older, I learned that filmmaking was the best way to bring my stories to life. I quickly fell in love with the process of putting a film together. Everything from the writing, the shooting, and editing. After graduating high school, I attended the Academy of Art University to perfect my craft. I gained knowledge that allowed me to write, direct, and edit my passion projects. When it comes to a wedding film, I want it to stand out and be unique to each client. No wedding day is exactly the same, and no video should be either. I carefully go over hours of footage and determine the best way to showcase the beauty of each wedding.”
